Zen Ghani to stand in Holyrood election

Local councillor Zen Ghani selected to fight Glasgow Cathcart & Pollok election.

The SNP in May 2025 confirmed its full slate of candidates for the Scottish Parliament election, which takes place on 7 May 2026.

 

Glasgow Southside councillor Zen Ghani has won his party’s nomination for the new Glasgow Cathcart and Pollok constituency.

 

Following a review by the Boundaries Commission, the new seat was created and was previously held by Humza Yousaf MSP and James Dornan MSP.
